These new charcoal/mixedmedia and ceramic objects are inspired by observations of behaviors and characteristics within the animal world. The two mediums are in constant dialogue with each other.

Charcoal drawings explore movement through shape and texture, inspiring forms that are reinterpreted in soft clay slabs, which are then crafted into ceramic pieces. These ceramics are fired in a traditional pit firing.

Blending charcoal, oil paint, and pit-fired ceramics, the works depict a dreamlike world where rabbits play in hidden gardens. Fluid lines and varied strokes create depth, inviting you to explore the open compositions. Inspired by the charm of overlooked spaces, such as backyards and secret gardens, these pieces encourage you to discover the magic within.
